]You seem to be a "fierce" reader, Cato! How many books do you think you read a week?
I love reading (almost better than anything else in the world) but I'm quite a slow reader. [/quote]
I have a few on the go at any one time but I have decided to commit more to reading than to telly . I should exercise more really but that takes more effort.
At the moment I have two books on the war of Independence, a Carson Mc Cullers short story collection, a Seosamh Mc Grianna novel in translation , and I have got a third the way through Dantes Purgatory. Particularly apt for these times.
I have another pile of Christmas books awaiting too. I 'll post later on the best books of 2020 that I have seen/read. I think reading keeps me sane. It's a great gift. I am firmly convinced it has saved my life on a couple of occasions too.
I like the word "fierce". It's one of those words mid Atlantic types never use, so it's nice to use when they are in earshot.

an cailín ciúin was the best I saw in a while. Also no 'the van' on this list for shame! There was a quirky film about a pater familias brewery worker being turned in to a rat, I enjoyed, the title of which escapes me
