I haven't watched the video yet, but apparently Dave Cullen has rediscovered his Christian faith. I'm overjoyed to hear this-- in fact, it made my day. I've literally prayed for Dave to find faith, but I didn't expect it to happen. Thanks for mentioning it, Antaine. I've started watching the video, but I had to break off about half-way in, so I don't know what form of Christian faith he has come to. Anyway, it's really great news. I hope it has a ripple effect. I'm always more interested in conversions from atheism/agnosticism than from other denominations or religions. Partly because that was my own trajectory, but more because that is where conversions need to come from if Christianity is to revive in Ireland and the West. Here is the link. youtu.be/jcM4rdGWZKAWell worth the watch. I am very happy that Dave has started his Journey home. Thanks be to God

Professor Edward Feser´s blog! So very, very good indeed! Not least in making solid use of reason in the midst of political turmoil.

Google throws up a selection of stories to my mobile phone every day. Today I got sent the headline for a story from the Irish Independent entitled: "GB News is so cheap, dreary and amateurish even the most Brexity bigot will struggle to stay awake".
GB News is a new news outlet that is probably best described as centre right and had its first broadcast in the last few days, and is obviously hated by the left even before it has started.
But to describe people in the UK (including N.Ireland) as 'brexity bigots' is pretty damn juvenile, arrogant and, to use the Journalist's words, bigoted. If I heard that phrase used by a drunk in the pub I would be disappointed. That one of Ireland's main papers allows this in their 'Comment' section' is dire and a reminder to me how far these people have fallen (the journalist is Pat Stacey).
The sooner these publications die out the better.

The sooner these publications die out the better. [br The sheer bile GB TV has caused in the usual quarters plus the attempts by the tolerant diverse brigade to destroy it financially by organising boycotts mean I will watch this channel on a regular basis. It is a bit trashy in parts. There is one particular interviewer in particular who is highly annoying but he chairs panels where there are 2 right wing people to one left leaning person. Makes a nice change to RTE were its a talking point if there is any conservative voice. And we have had to pay for their blatant propaganda for decades. TV3 is just a cheaper more tawdry version of RTE. Last night Andrew Neil on GB News discussed quite calmly and critically trans rights, anti semitism, lock down restrictions and farmers concerns over free trade with Australia . He didn't take sides but asked questions our media never ask. He left it to the viewer to make up their mind. That's "far right" nowadays.
