Indeed. Honour the fallen of WW1 by all means, but don't glorify the cause, or level the playing-field by suggesting WW1 should be of equal moral and/or historical weight to the Irish as it is to the English.
I was glad to see the first 1916 memorial unveiled in England last week, in a Catholic church in Liverpool, honouring the local Irish who went to fight in the rebellion.
