I read about this just today, but I don't see any real mention of it anywhere. I wonder if anyone here has heard something about it before. Carrigaholt Castle, in Co. Clare, now a ruin, is supposedly haunted. Specifically, there is one room that is apparently so terrible that it was sealed off. At one point - I think the 1920s - an exorcist supposedly reopened and entered the room to banish whatever it is inside, but was found dead the next day with a look of horror on his face. Has anyone heard any stories concerning Carrigaholt?

Last week however I was asked to view a work video of a colleague encountering what seemed like poltergeist activity. It was quite disturbing and I cannot explain it. The Maynooth seminary ghost room and linked 19th century clerical suicides are another interesting unnerving story.

I'm with you on that, Cato. I consider myself an intrigued sceptic when it comes to these things. It fascinates me, but I don't like to be taken a fool. I see many people will jump at any "evidence" as proof of the paranormal, one of my most recent favourites being a spider dangling in a cobweb considered a fairy sighting.
I have never heard those Maynooth stories though. I hope your colleague is alright.
