The old Roinn Poist agus Telegrafa - Department of Posts and Telegraphs had its logo in Gaelic half-uncial script.
'⁊' is the Tironian ampersand (&, 'et', 'and'). It is from a Latin shorthand system said to have been invented by Cicero's private secretary Tiro for recording speeches. Tiro's system was popular with scribes all over Europe in the medieval period. Attachments:
