http://www.castlecootehouse.com I haven't always agreed with Kevin Myers viewpoints but I do think he will be worth listening to now that he doesn't fear losing his job. I didn't realise he was in his early 70s.

I disagree with him about Irish nationalism, nudism, and other things. But I respect his independence of mind and he is often on the ball.

I disagree with him about.... nudism, and other things. But I respect his independence of mind,.... He's going nude at 70 ?! Actually I was a bit surprised at the last Catholic Herald from Britain I saw, when a columnist wrote that public nudity was usually ok because the appearance of most of it's practitioners deterred promiscuity if anything. But surely that makes it sinful in another, more profound, way?

We live in hope then. Some right-wingers can have oddball notions also (following a recent post-Christchurch statement, Milo has been re-denied a visa into Australia)

Some right-wingers can have oddball notions also (following a recent post-Christchurch statement, Milo has been re-denied a visa into Australia) One of the things that I like but that is frustrating about real right wing people is that they don't always tick all the right wing boxes . I suspect there is more genuine diversity on the right as it allows more room for individuality. The modern left polices its followers with the zeal of the Spanish inquisition and ideological deviation or independence is punished severely . I doubt Myers really advocated nudism unless it was a quiet news day one August and he wrote one of his fantasy articles to fill up some space in the Irish Time's Irishman's diary.

Grand Torino has a video on YouTube of a recent talk by Kevin Myers were he discusses the emergence of a new 4th Reich. Well worth watching.
