Happy new year to everyone. There's a quite well known personality test called the 'Myers-Briggs' which, at its simplest, involves answering some questions and then having the results categorise you in one of 16 categories with a brief explanation of your personality. I did the test some years ago and did it again online recently and ended up in the same category. And, to be fair, it does appear to reflect accurately my personality. It only takes about 10 minutes and the results are a 4 character code (e.g. INFJ) with an accompanying explanation. I'd be interested to see what category we all fall under. If you have 10 or 15 minutes give it a try here: www.16personalities.com/

I am an INFJ myself. Did it in school. The rarest type!

I did this test as part of a work course several years ago. I took it again a few minutes ago and I was still an INTP type. It can be a light hearted way to gain some insight into human personality.
I do remember talking to a group of nuns who obsessed over it seeing it as a mirror into the inner recesses of the soul . I also recall reading an article denouncing it as as satanic due to its links to Jungian psychology.

The chances of the first 2 trialists, Maolsheachlann and I, both being INFJ are very unlikely in probability terms. INFJ are Diplomat/Advocate types. Your type, Cato, is Analyst/Logician. There might be some similarity in our categories considering we all have in common a conservative or traditional bent. However a quick search online came up with this statement on a 'Personality in politics' website: "Research has consistently shown that the most powerful predictor of political liberalism is a preference for intuition (N) on the Myers-Briggs" As all 3 so far have the 'N' in our descriptor, and if the statement above concerning liberalism is accurate, we are bucking the trends!

I'm quite intrigued by the test, and the typology. Until quite recently, I was a member of a Facebook group called INFJ Christians-- although I left after a few months, disappointed in the quality of the discussion. I'm fairly sceptical of the Myers-Briggs and certainly don't put any great credence in it. However, it seems plausible enough that it would have SOME predictive and descriptive power, if it's based on answers to questions-- it's not like it's random. And I DO think the profile of an INFJ fits me surprisingly well (although I'm conscious of " the Barnum Effect".)

I am a INTJ -T in the Myers–Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI).
A basic description INTJ -T Being one of the rarest personality types and being among the most capable people. They make up just two percent of the population, and women with this personality type are especially rare, forming only 0.8%. It can be difficult for Architects to find people who can keep up with their non-stop analysis of things. People with this personality type are imaginative yet decisive... ambitious yet like their privacy... curious about everything but remain focused.
Interesting that this type is supposedly one of the most irreligious.
