It's often seemed strange to me that this phrase, and its constituent elements, hasn't really come under attack in our era. It seems to reflect so many things the spirit of the age hates; sexual difference, gentility, courtesy, demureness, breeding etc. etc.
Am I overthinking? Am I getting paranoid?

I think it is THE evil of our time, even worse than Islamic terrorism. (OK, abortion is worse, but abortion is a longstanding problem.) I think this monster has to be opposed with all our might.

It must be fought but it's hard to fight, because most people don't understand the agenda it serves. I think Nightwind's comment, which I mentioned on the Cultural Marxism thread, is very important: Cultural Marxism is one of the greatest threats to Western Civilization today, mostly because it has permeated our cultural discourse so deeply. A lot of people accept its tenets without realizing the ulterior motives of those advocating them.

I keep wondering is there some way for people to signal their rejection of PC without being drawn into discussing actual instances, which could easily get them sacked from their jobs or cause them some other disproportionate grief. It would have to be something that could get past dress codes and speech codes.

It would have to be something that could get past dress codes and speech codes. I think this is very hard to fight directly for the subset of the workforce who are dependent on a paycheque; I would never judge someone like this for laying low given the current climate, for I have lain low myself for the same reason. In Ireland today, however, there are a large number of people who are independently wealthy, whether retired or in the workforce (and who could easily afford to retire). These folks need to lead the way on fighting Cultural Marxism in all its manifestations, including political correctness. Trump and other wealthy Americans like Kellyanne Conway and Steve Bannon have shown such leadership. Both Conway and Bannon are self-made. It's interesting to contrast the very public courage of these two Irish-Americans to the cowardice and apathy of Ireland's bog-standard nouveau riche.
