A bit like the final slaughter of the last Sicarii on Masada. Traditional rite ordinations, and perhaps confirmations, were unlikely to be taking place in the diocese I live in,so that part is largely hypothetical for myself, but I'd feel for traditional priestly societies having to negotiate future ordinations- the Fraternity of St Peter throughout the world,Christ the King community in Cork, the monastic communities in Silverstream in Meath and Colebrook in Tasmania- and all these receiving interest from young aspirants in contrast to the rest of the Church around them.
Literal interpretation of the statement may rule out baptisms or traditional blessings for holy water- did His Holiness really approve of this just after a largely cordial visit to Greece and Cyprus, mostly Eastern rite areas that have only ever has the respect of Rome for their customs and rituals?

I have been very disappointed and confused with this latest spite from Romes liturgical cabal. To be so actively despised by the chief shepherd is profoundly dispiriting especially at this time of year. I find it hard to identify any other group in the church treated in such a sneering condescending we know what's best for you attitude . The much misused word "hate" is floating around in my head. The pope hates us.
I can only pray this horrible unmerciful un pastoral hardness of heart is a temporary cross which for some reason we must bear. Last week the Dail cruelly rejected pain relief for the unwanted unborn destined to be cut apart. A week before the birth of the God child. Another Christmas with more soul destroying restrictions planned too... Its hard not to feel low this weekend.
Out of the depths we cry to you o Lord.

To even feel such, that " The pope hates " (my quotas) is incredible. Hundreds of thousands of ordinary and pious so called traditionalists, in practical terms only traditional Catholics, being persecuted by someone branding the good words like mercy and love for his papacy. We must never give in to be disheartened, but it´s sobering enough to know the nasty connections from their part in the ongoing vaxx NWO coup as well. Holy Liturgy is not just some extras possible to treat as unimportant, some mundane room for improvement, and targeting every Catholic in love with the Catholicism of God´s own within the entire heavenly crowd of saints, calling them names like "rigid" and the rest is so strange to hear coming from a pope.

I hear a Clarification will be released by Rome on the Ecclesia Dei between now and Lent.
