While most people will not shed too many tears for 2022 with its long litany of woes there have been a few improvements on this time last year which should be remembered.
Last Christmas we were still in the grip of the Covid scare. We had a Christmas but new year disappeared into the final lockdown. Virtually no one suggests we return to Covid lockdowns. The return to normality hasn't been easy and many mistakes were made but we are coming out of the other side .
Linked to the above , believers now have free access to religious ceremonies and sacramental life. Sadly many haven't returned but the restoration of religious liberty in a country where it was widely suppressed is something to welcome.
Monkey Pox. Remember that? It was meant to be the next big plague and was hyped up by the media for a few weeks. It has killed precisely no one in Ireland so far and has had a minimal impact on the population.
Pope Benedict is still alive. Amidst all the turmoil in the church his presence is I believe a mysterious reminder of the abiding love of Christ.

The acquisition by Elon Musk of Twitter might be another piece of good news. I'm not sure what I think of him, but surely anyone on the side of free speech needs to be welcomed.
Indeed, I get the impression that the woke juggernaut has somewhat stalled this year. Many things are said on social media which would have been stamped out only last year. Even many on the liberal left seem to be turning against wokery now.

It must have been about a year ago that Time magazine distanced themselves from his populate-policy when naming him Man of the Year;I don't recall any other disclaimers in recent years even though I'm sure many readers wouldn't endorse the views of Greta or Joe (or Kamala). I did notice also that Helen Bonham Carter broke ranks with other Potter actors recently to give some support to the stories' authoress. I wonder whether the younger stars will ever consider returning their acting fees? To think that Mrs JK is really only asking for women's toilets.

I recall Time magazine having Hitler, Stalin and Mao to name just 3 odious individuals as their man of the year or on their covers. I doubt anyone back in the dark ages of the 20th century was so naive so as to imagine Time was promoting or defending these people.

Serbian tennis hero Novak Djokovic breaking most every world record of titles etc. A wonder of honest integrity in regard to all pressures for compliance during this massive NWO-push at vaxx regulations. www.facebook.com/TennisMedia/videos/1556380774807167Robert F. Kennedy Jr´s book on Dr Fauci in relation to the Globalist hoax & crime business, in right time for Christmas now being sold, translated and read widely. Snow and cold as normal in early December. So many gifts to be grateful for!

I can remember when I was growing up, that the Sultan of Brunei indisputably had the title for many years. It was a major symptom of change in world order that internet or computer moguls seemed the only ones that would dominate economics decades later. (Coming from someone who doesn't but luxury goods anyway) I'm not particularly confident that craftsmanship or will-paid capitalist-country labour are still to be presumed for all these brands, but it has to be wondered whether anyone could have foreseen a few years ago a Frenchman who majors in neither power- green or otherwise- nor cyberspace would reach this pinnacle even briefly in 2022. And it doesn't seem such a bad thing.
