Swedish comics genius Charlie Christensen, the maker of the opinionated tongue in cheek duck named Arne Anka, has been translated into English!!
This is the best writings for the last several decades from the Swedish writing scene. Stark satire galore in a setting of sometimes leftish yet firmly on the mark observations on contemporary life in our time, especially Stockholmian themes, very well drawn and coloured! The wildly antihero facets gets put in place by Arne´s critical eye with a wildly low key tint of native prejudice. This amounts to Swedish pop culture at its best.
(Above might sound as hyperbole praise but I really like this artist, despite not being always in the exact same analysis in one or two of the details. For instance he does heckle also The Donald, but to his credit he does it in a far better way artistically than the otherwise simple mainstream idiocy take of many other Swedes.)
