A Fingal County councillor has warned against flying the Irish flag outside County Hall, saying the move could offend foreign nationals living there.
At a meeting of the council, Solidarity-People Before Profit's Matthew Waine opposed a motion proposed by Sinn Fein's Daire Ni Laoi to hoist the national flag at the council’s HQ in Swords.READ MORE.... www.dublinlive.ie/news/dublin-news/fingal-councillor-opposes-flying-irish-13946267

Their agenda is now out in the open and the endgame staring us straight in the face. What future do the Irish want for their children and grandchildren?

I don't particularly like the Irish flag, simply because I find it so boring and uninteresting.
But anyway, in regards to the topic, unsurprising. I mean really, if you move to a country and are offended by something there... seriously, go back to your own country. Beggars can't be choosers, you know? Why the Hell are you moving to another country and getting offended by its flag? Of course, I doubt any (or very few) foreigners are actually offended by the flag. This is just typical red scumbags up to their tricks.

I have my own issues with the Tricolour, but it is stillthe national flag, this is outrageous.
A nasty part of me honestly cannot wait for them to jump the gun on their agenda and go full ham, I am not often for accelerationism, but if they really want to go full Swedenistan on us all they are going to get a very, very, different reaction than the rest of Europe. We almost revolted over the water metres, that was the straw that nearly broke the camel's back, it may not seem like it but if they push too far too fast, the backlash will be immediate and very very vital.

Water meters was about money....the only thing the modern Irish care about, or so it seems. Nonetheless I hope you are right.

If not the National flag, then what? One Council in Perth will be voting next week on whether to replace the municipal coat-of -arms with the rainbow flag in solidarity with the gay community. Rather unlike Ireland, local Councils are SUPPOSED to be apolitical, in this case the motion is coming from a former Greens Party staffer Bassendean councilor

Their agenda is now out in the open and the endgame staring us straight in the face. What future do the Irish want for their children and grandchildren? It's really nothing new. These far left groups are genuine admirers of the marxist tyranny that triumphed in Russia a century ago. They have been pushing flag stunts at the Dublin city hall flying a palestinian flag for a month and are planning to fly a catalan flag shortly. Bet they'd really love to fly the old soviet hammer and sickle flag! I wonder do any foreign governments bank roll them like the North Koreans did with the Workers Party ? As usual our good friends in the media turn a blind eye or actively facilitate these modern fans of Lenin Stalin and Mao.

They do fly Hammer and Sickle flags. I saw a small.... protest?... outside the GPO one night on the way home from work. There was only about 5 or 6 people, but one had a big red flag with the hammer and sickle on it.

No one ever asked how our Jewish citizenry felt about Irish public institutions flying the Pali flag.

As I wandered through a wet misty Dublin this evening I passed the courtyard of the centre of our legal system - The Four Courts. There is one flag pole and it flies.... the European Union Flag.
Meanwhile over at city hall the Dublin city flag has been replaced with the Catillan flag. At least I assume that's what it is. It looks like something you would see flying on a beach indicating unfavourable swimming conditions.

The Catalan business is so annoying. What the western media and the Left never report is that 50% of Catalans want to remain with Spain. It's just another virtue-signalling hobby horse for them to occupy themselves with.
