Why isnt there a lobby for polyamourous style marriage it would be so easy to to argue in favour of is it lack of demand because the reasons against it are the exact same ones used in same sex marriage "debate" and they failed how can they say marriage equality when some "marriages" still arent seen as equal again i disagree with it but I dont understand why no one is making the point

I think the biggest reason is that polyamory isn't very popular, even amongst liberals. If you look at sit-coms and romantic comedies, the IDEAL is still two people together forever. The actual sexes involved doesn't seem to matter to people, but the basic template of "two people together forever" does.
I'm not sure there will ever be a drive for plural marriage. but if it happens, I imagine it will take a few years at least. These "advances" rarely come immediately after each other.

One of the sneaky aspects of the Gay marriage equality referendum was a misleading view of male gay unions put
forward by the yes campaign. The widespread existence of open relationships were partners can have extramarital casual sex was not brought up.
Many gay marriages are not monogamous. Fidelity is normally understood by everyone to be one of the essential grounds of a marriage. Had that been discussed openly I think the referendum may have been rejected.
