Don't quite get the mention of a King Nimrod. I'd be more concerned myself at any forced planting of microchips in response to corona-mania than I would have been about speculation of a chip as it's origin. My father did his first 'tap and go' in IKEA this week as they weren't accepting cash, which is reportedly now the norm in many places due to the virus. The current supermarket madness, which reminds me of the hynea-orchestrated stampede in Lion King, and a possible mandatory vaccination, when they do discover (or claim to discover) one, could also be potential pretexts for compulsory microchipping of people. It takes little imagination to see the horrible possibilities in all of this.

We are going through an enormous civilisational crisis moment. The end of the world as we know it. I am not predicting the final days but the end of the epoch we all grew up and live in. There may very well be another and hopefully better world about to emerge but that's another discussion. However the virus originates it is putting our societies under enormous strain. Whether working at the frontline or staying put at home on our sofas praying we all have a role. Let's do that with strong hearts and good cheer. I wouldn't be too worried about compulsory vaccinations and monitoring. Most people already choose to provide personal information freely on Facebook and smartphones can all be listened into electronically! Oremus pro Invincem!

I just deleted a post claiming there was no such thing as Corona Virus and making comparisons with the common cold and flu. The standard flu will not overwhelm our health service and cause thousands of deaths like in Italy where doctors are making wartime life and death triage decisions. This is a distinct and real possibility here too.
I do respect a vigorous right to free speech but stupidity and spreading misinformation in a crisis is quite another matter. To date all of those who post here have been responsible and prudent in what they post. I hope that continues. There is enough scaremongering and misinformation out there.

I have extremely limited internet access right now so I am being more stringent too.
Posts which I would have allowed as endearingly bonkers become more dubious now, especially since I can monitor things less easily and the social context is more precarious. I deleted some posts from a contributor I had previously indulged.
Thanks, Cato.

Prof Dolores Cahill was on London Real this afternoon talking about Covid, free speech, vaccines and holding people to account. Very interesting.
