This has been going on for some time unfortunately . Balbriggan has one of the highest rates of non Irish people in the state and has a disturbing level of anti social behaviour which rarely if never gets into the mainstream media.
I had a strange experience in the Veritas shop near O Connell st in Dublin a few months before the arrival of Covid. I was locked in the shop by security staff as a group of young African men proceeded to beat each other up and charge up and down Abbey St. No Gardai arrived and the men ran off somewhere else. The security guard said it's a fairly regular occurrence in the area.

It parallels a school of thought, with indigenous Australians for another example, that reporting the misdemeanors of a particular ethnic group in any media is discriminatory, regardless of whether the statistics actually do give cause for concern in this area. Activists' lobbying for less incarceration (for Aboriginals say) never seem to highlight how this would actually work, I'm assuming that the same sentences would still be applicable to all persons.

I'm resigned to it all this stage. A few years back I would have been more infuriated. Once a nation's innocence has been lost as Ireland's was around the early 90s that's it. The only option is a strong law and order state, but the liberal mindset that runs the state fears accusations of 'discrimination' and so on.
Every day seems to make us more and more like a miniature America.
