A gentleman named Hugh Treacy made this, what I think to be very penetrating, analysis on FB. I have no idea if he lurks here under a pseudonym!
"It's only now that the country is developing a standard 'Left-Right' split in its political culture, after the long period of nationalist consensus on constitutional and social issues, it's difficult for the new nationalist movements to establish themselves on a professional footing. What makes it worse is that most of them are still unsure what exactly a "right-wing" party in Ireland actually represents.
Don't forget also, that the traditional 'conservative-nationalist' parties, FF and FG, are now militantly progressive-left and globalist on most issues, so that the nascent conservative-nationalist movements are being both attacked and manipulated at will by the entire Irish establishment. They don't really have any uninterrupted way of speaking directly to the people outside of social media, and so have their message filtered through people and institutions who hate them.
Unfortunately, the dominance of the liberal establishment, means that its media arm boosts the profile of someone like Gemma O'Doherty, who has simply imported a simplistic, "conspiracy-theory" model of right-wing activism from America via the internet, because they can use her excesses to tar every other emergent conservative-nationalist movement with the same brush.
You'll have noticed that the two other conservative movements that have actually been officially registered as parties, and can be said to have comprehensive and politically coherent platforms - Renua and the National Party - are being deliberately starved of attention by the regime, in contrast to Gemma O'Doherty's group, which isn't even a recognised political party."

I'm beginning to agree with that they've artificially made her the spokeswoman for the Irish "far right"
