My question was What is your analysis? The other thing is a edited quote from Batman. I was asking what his plan is and maybe he has no plan and is a dog chasing car! I highly doubt this

I don't get why Francis is pro the SSPX and against those who left to join Rome after the episcopal consecration in 1988. In a way he's proving Archbishop Levebvres point about not being able to trust Rome. May be his mess making hasn't got an over arching plan or agenda? I doubt this.
Francis has a narrow liturgical vision which if consistent will mean the marginalisation of other non Roman rites within the Catholic Church. Ironically this was a 19th century ultamontane position claiming that all catholics had to worship using the Roman rite. The Eastern rites and the Ordinariate rites may be on the chopping block eventually too.
It used to be claimed Francis as a Jesuit had no interest in liturgical matters. The TC decree shows this isn't true. He wants to wipe out the old rite, rigidity and conservative Catholicism generally. He sees Vatican ii as a revolutionary break inspired by the Holy spirit and seeks to exclude those who disagree or who hold to Pope Benedict's Hermeneutic of continuity interpretation of Vatican ii.

One of the strange things about pope Francis is his relatively positive attitude to the society of St Pius X. Indeed he is probably the most positive pope regarding formal relations with the church having given them formal canonical permission to hear confessions and marry couples, permission they hadn't possessed prior to this. Ironically in Rome you can't get married , have your confession heard or get the last rites in the old rite from any one in full communion with the Pope. Neither can you attend the Easter ceremonies in the old rite from now on. But you can do all those things in the Society of St Pius X Church there! I have had heard a couple of reasons why Pope Francis has a relatively positive attitude towards the society of St Pius X and its faithful. 1) He had positive dealing with them when he was a Bishop in Buenos Aires and may see them as outcasts. Interesting quotes about SSPX cruxnow.com/vatican/2017/04/letters-show-franciss-outreach-traditionalists-long-history/2) Is that he wished to encourage most Traditionalists to start attending the SSPX sacraments and eventually excommunicate or put a letter out condemning them. 3) Is that the SSPX would be given the Old Rite to oversee and become a similar church to the Eastern Catholics Interested in what people think about these theories. I cannot make heads or tails of anything he does, it always goes the way of being left out to speculate (and then comes the next odd move, and yet more headaches in even more efforts to least trying to find some sensible reason to the strange breaks and "mess" being stirred up for some unknown purpose). This year I have once more fallen back into the "positive" method, and supposed he actually is a good man meaning well only doing things in his peculiar leader-style. But this is maybe only affirmative wishful thinking. Nothing makes sense when trying to understand his view of holy Church tradition and so much of the core matters like the Liturgy itself this time. Frankly all 3 alternative could be betted on. Guessing some no 4 would be closer to truth but only time will tell, once again...
