I was shocked at how extreme the expert witnesses were from the RTE reports. They make chilling reading. An Indian doctor (from the land of forced sterilisations and mass sex selected abortions) claimed that to oppose legal abortion meant people were in favour of illegal abortion!!
Dr Boylan of Holles St who pops up everywhere to advocate killing the unborn as medical practice refused to answer a question from Senator mc Mullan whether he had carried out procedures outside the law in Ireland. Sinister stuff.
The mantra was repeated again and again that Ireland needs to become a leader in reproductive health rights following on from our gay marriage "leadership". These witnesses were ideological fanatics in white coats. The ghost of Dr Mengele seems to have visited our shores.

The Doctors above may or may not have witnessed an abortion first hand but did the Citizen's Assembly members witness an abortion? Wouldn't it make eminent sense if you have been given special status to influence such an important issue, of life and death, that you be informed enough to comment or pass an opinion? I would be interested to know if the 99 members witnessed, if not the operation itself, the aftermath of an operation, the remains of the child and how it is disposed of? A difficult ask no doubt, but a necessary one if one is to understand the process fully.

I think the answer to all your questions is sadly, no. I think they have their minds already made up. The whole process is rubber stamping a previous hot house focus group that ended up proposing a more radical reform than the ultra liberal UK Abortion Act.
I suspect in time we will learn about the inner wheeling and dealings on the citizen's group which has turned out to be cheerleaders for the international abortion slaughter houses eager to increase their profits by moving into Ireland. George Soros alone has pumped €500,000 into pro abortion propaganda.
