What do people think of the Donalds talk at the UN. I liked it in general!

I did not hear it but I heard Benjamin Netanyahu react to it, and he seemed mightily impressed.

POTUS has been vindicated again, this time with respect to his claims about being wiretapped. Of course when he tweeted this allegation he was universally ridiculed and in many cases labelled paranoid and unhinged:

It became clear in 2016 that black conservatives have a providential role in saving the United States. If the West is to be saved Americans will have to crush the Left's identity politics. As MOAR rallies starting to overcome divide and conquer the Leftist media will become more unhinged:

To make politics work in the USA you can't simply impose your will on others. You need to build alliances and make deals. Ronald Reagan the greatest president in 20th century US history was a master of this. Trump could learn a lot from him if he wants to avoid losing everything and is willing to admit his confrontational style can end adding to problems. It is begining to look like he' ll end up as a right wing Obama. Strong on symbolism but weak on getting the job done in the legislature. That's not a legacy worth imitating. Don't underestimate Trump. He has a bigger IQ than anyone at this site. Everything he does is calculated. The 64K question is what his true motivations are. The answer to this will only be revealed in time. This is the same Donald Trump I take it who has enraged his own party by talking to the democrats about a budget deal? Yes? Thats how you get things done in Washington as I suggested above. Note I am not claiming any credit for this ! Pity he forgot the part about letting his own party know about the offer first. I don't really know anything about his IQ levels but you shouldn't assume we are all Mr Trumph's intellectual inferiors. His main motives seem simple -power and vanity. They are the motives of most other leaders, managers and politicians.

I did not hear it but I heard Benjamin Netanyahu react to it, and he seemed mightily impressed. He has joined Iran Russia and North Korea in openly advocating the nuclear destruction of another country. Curious company for the leader of the free world. Of course the US can wipe out North Korea. Teddy Rosevelt had the great slogan of speak softly and carry a big stick. I am a passionate believer in the value of US power to deter the mad and the bad international thugs. Just think for a second about Trumps threats to incinerate 25.37 million people. That's despicable savagery ,particularly when the United States Air Force killed three million north koreans during the korean war.

He's responding to repeated threats from North Korea; it would be strange if he didn't ramp up the rhetoric. Besides, from the context, "totally destroy" seems to refer to the regime rather than the people.

If you want to know what his motives are, listen to his speeches, and not just the soundbites reported by CNN and RTE.

You seem to be confusing him with Obama, which suggests you get most of your information about POTUS second-hand from the Leftist media, who report on him with about as much accuracy and objectivity as they report on the Catholic Church. In fact, the levels of vitriol directed toward the two objects are near equal in intensity, which in itself should tell you something.

Leadership doesn't normally involve retaliating to outrageous threats with similar threats. Japan and Hawaii (part of the USA) have been covered by the US nuclear umbrella for decades. You attack them you get turned to ashes. That's what nuclear deterence means. The north koreans know that 30 minutes after they launch an attack north korea is evaporated. It is a suicidal policy. There is no way to stop an attack on say Japan other than attacking North Korea first should they wish to carry out a suicidal attack.I presume they aren't that stupid. They are nasty and rurhless but they are not stupid. Should potus carry out a first strike then to save Tokyo or Honolulu ?

I have no problem seeing vanity and a desire for power in Obama and Hilary Clinton. Very few leaders are immune to it. I can only think of one. Jesus Christ.

I could produce a long list of leaders in our own history who were not driven primarily through vanity and power, the evidence being the manner in which they went to their own deaths. Trump is an imperfect man but he is not a career politician. He is pouring water on the witches and the more he pours the more they scream. He is fearless whilst others remain silent. I thank God every day for this man, and you should too.
