I am not going to pretend to know Irish politics, but Brexit and Trump taught me to never again surrender hope based on the propaganda of the media. They work to demoralize normalcy. In the U.S., no small part of Trump's victory was due to support from pro-lifers in the Midwest who felt their backs were against the walls and might as well go out blazing.

I notice in today's Irish Times 2 advertisments from the Together for Yes Campaign.
Why they bothered paying for ads is beyond me as the owners and journalists of the Times have been providing free pro abortion propaganda for decades.

I didn't realise at the time, but May 26th, the day the results were released, was officially the date that the Western Australian parliament passed it's abortion laws in 1997. OFFICIALLY. Abortion was on demand for decades before this. Pro-life prayers and counselling takes place on the footpaths in front of the two major private practice clinics in Perth,I don't think anyone does it at the public hospitals. Catholic hospitals are not required to accommodate abortion, even the state's one church-run public hospital. There is a growing tendency in Australia, however, to ban any form of pro-life activity within a certain radius of any abortion provider. I think, from memory, that Victoria(Melbourne) and Tasmania have banned protests from these 'exclusion zones' so-called; New South Wales' parliament is voting on it at the moment, after a two men started scuffling in front an image of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Obviously more briefing is required there for those who get involved.

I was handed a prayer booklet this week "For the Protection of Life and Family". Although there's no name or address and although it's relevant for anywhere, it's seems to be from Ireland and largely praying for Ireland. The cover has a picture of the Holy Family from a Dublin church. Whoever put it together obviously has particular devotion for the Holy Face of Christ.
